We met in 1995 at a half-marathon in Philadelphia, started dating in 1997 at a marathon, and have never stopped running. Originally from NYC (via Iowa and Colorado), we are an adventure-based, fun-loving couple with over 100 marathons, 11 Ironman triathlons, and 7 ultra-marathons between us. We love traveling, learning about different cultures, spending time with family and friends, and connecting with others.  

This blog began with our month‑long adventure through Asia. After 15 years at our jobs, we were fortunate to take a 30‑day sabbatical. Having traveled through Asia in 2006 and 2012, we decided to return again in 2016 to explore a whole new set of countries. During that journey, we were grateful to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and spend meaningful time with family across the region.

In January 2019, our story continued as we made our home in Singapore and embarked on an exciting new chapter abroad. In 2023, we relocated from Singapore to New York City, but Asia has remained a meaningful part of our lives. Since the move, we’ve traveled back to different parts of Asia every year, continuing to explore, reconnect, and discover new experiences.
