RAIN
25 July 2020 | Rain in Singapore is a lot like NYC rain where an umbrella is necessary though in Singapore, rain is arguably way more intense when it down-pours. Rain in Singapore is NOT like Seattle rain where you can wear a rain jacket, because, frankly, if you wore a rain jacket, you would sweat so profusely that you would be as wet as if you hadn’t even worn the jacket. You see, it’s pretty much always hovering around 30°C with 70-80% humidity even when it’s raining.
Rain is also lovely as it’s really the only weather variability you get in Singapore. It’s intense. The thunder and lightning are dramatic. It cools off just enough to feel wonderful and, at long last, not sweaty.
Rain in Singapore stops everything. The streets and sidewalks empty out. Its unclear where everyone goes but it seems they might melt like sugar if they get wet.
